Escott's crime thrillers are not just about the who done it, they take you on a journey. In 1995, a twenty-year-old woman is murdered, her body mutilated in a most disturbing way. Twenty-seven years later, the crime repeats itself when a second woman is butchered in the same way.
Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Inspector Nick Myra must consider: is the killer still active or is it a copycat? His investigation uncovers an historical rape gang that has been operating in downtown St. John’s for decades. When details, only the killer would know, are leaked to the media, Inspector Myra, and his team question if the betrayal is coming from within the force.
This psychological thriller cuts to the bone when Inspector Myra and the victims’ families realize the saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies; it comes from those you trust the most.
Betrayal is a force of nature, consuming everything in its path and leaving behind a trail of devastation.
Operation Betrayed is available now from: Amazon, Indigo, Coles, Chapters, Flanker Press, https://www.helencescott.com/books and wherever books are sold.
